Funding Opportunity RFA-HG-24-001 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) invites applications for sites to participate in the Genomic Medicine eConsult Research Network, hereafter referred to as the eConsult Network. The eConsult Network will consist of 2-3 sites working with NHGRI to conduct research on the impact of and methods for implementing regional clinician-to-clinician genomic medicine eConsult services. Specifically, sites will be funded to research how to best design, develop, and implement regional genomic medicine eConsult services; provide outreach to potential users, including those at underserved settings; and assess the impact on key stakeholders while developing successful implementation strategies and resources that can be broadly shared and adopted.
Tuesday, January 9, 2024 - 12:37am
Funding Opportunity PAR-24-106 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support applications from small businesses to develop solutions for commercialization that enable regional genomic medicine eConsult Service.

Funding Opportunity PAR-24-107 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) is to support applications from small businesses to develop solutions for commercialization that enable regional genomic medicine eConsult Service.
Monday, January 8, 2024 - 11:55pm
Funding Opportunity PAR-24-078 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is to provide continuing support for specific pathogen-free (SPF) macaque colonies previously funded under the auspices of PAR-21-089 and PAR-18-669 that support Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) research. Breeding colonies are essential to sustain appropriate SPF macaques for research related to HIV/AIDS. Pedigree SPF macaques are free of certain viruses, which may confound the results of HIV/AIDS-related investigations or present a risk to the personnel who care for the animals. The SPF macaques are genetically characterized for major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I types, because MHC class I genotypes have large effects on macaque immune responses to Simian Immunodeficiency Virus (SIV) that can induce AIDS in nonhuman primates (NHPs) and on human immune responses to HIV.

Funding Opportunity PAR-24-060 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage pilot and/or feasibility research in the following areas: 1) the development and pilot testing of new or adapted interventions to prevent or delay the initiation of substance use and/or the progression from use to misuse or disorder and 2) pre-trial feasibility and acceptability testing of services and service system research relevant to the prevention of substance use. In addition to the prevention of substance use, misuse and disorder, other outcomes of interest for the research supported through FOA include a reduction in negative sequalae such as deaths related to impaired driving, suicidal behavior (e.g., nonfatal and fatal attempts), and drug- or alcohol-related acquisition or transmission of HIV infection and viral hepatitis among diverse populations and settings.
Thursday, January 4, 2024 - 10:56am
Funding Opportunity PAR-24-103 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This FOA invites applications for investigator-initiated, high-risk multi-center clinical trials involving more than one clinical center. Proposed trials should be hypothesis-driven, have the potential to change clinical practice and/or public health, and focus on a disease relevant to the mission of NIDDK. Planning activities must be completed prior to submission and are not permitted under this FOA. Applicants who require a planning phase may first apply for an implementation planning cooperative agreement (U34; see TEMP9971).Consultation with NIDDK Scientific/Research staff is strongly encouraged prior to the submission of either a U34 or U01 application.

Funding Opportunity PAR-24-102 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This FOA invites applications for investigator-initiated, high-risk multi-center observational studies involving more than one clinical center. Proposed studies should be hypothesis-driven and focus on a disease relevant to the mission of NIDDK.
