Wednesday, June 7, 2017 - 10:06am
Funding Opportunity PAR-17-304 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support the development of infrastructure and other resources required for the conduct of Clinical and Translational Research (CTR) in IDeA-eligible states. IDeA-CTR Centers are expected to provide added value to the biomedical research efforts in the participating institutions through support of activities that cannot easily be provided through standard research grant awards. The proposed activities will provide the infrastructure and resources that will enhance the competitiveness of the investigators to obtain additional funding for clinical and translational research. Applicants must establish a statewide network of collaborating and partnering institutions/organizations. Other institutions/organizations outside the state may be included if forming a network of wider reach. Since only one award will be made per IDeA-eligible state, only one application should be submitted per state.

Funding Opportunity RFA-HD-18-007 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this FOA issued by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), NIH is to announce the re-competition of the Reproductive Scientist Development Program (RSDP). This program constitutes a national network of mentors and scholars, in contrast to K12 programs that are based solely at a single applicant institution. The purpose of the RSDP is to provide career development support for obstetricians and gynecologists who have completed their clinical training, and who are committed to a career conducting basic science research in an academic setting. The overall goal of the Program is to strengthen the field of obstetrics and gynecology by encouraging the application of contemporary science advances to clinical practice and facilitating the transition to independence of physician-scientists in areas related to obstetrics and gynecology and its subspecialties.

Notice NOT-FD-17-011 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts
Wednesday, June 7, 2017 - 12:14am
Funding Opportunity PA-17-307 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) announces the availability of administrative supplements to support research in which the supplemental funding would investigate the role of dietary supplements and/or their ingredients in health maintenance and disease prevention. Parent awards need not be focused on dietary supplements; this FOA may provide support to include dietary supplements within the scope of relevant research projects. Research interests of ODS are not limited to specific health conditions, organ systems or population groups. ODS supports all types of research, including pre-clinical, clinical, behavioral, and epidemiological. Additionally, ODS supports research and training programs that build future research capacity for studying the role of dietary supplements in health and disease prevention. Primary consideration for support will be given to applications that stimulate dietary supplement research where it is lacking or lagging, clarify gaps, opportunities and balance between benefits and risks where data are in conflict, target special population groups where additional science on dietary supplements is needed, and focus on the use of dietary supplements in improving or maintaining health and reducing the risk of chronic disease. This FOA will not support new clinical trials.
Monday, June 5, 2017 - 11:36pm
Funding Opportunity PA-17-305 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support the development of imaging approaches to identify and characterize persistent HIV reservoirs in patients undergoing suppressive antiretroviral therapy (ART) and to quantify the nature and size of these reservoirs in response to therapeutic interventions.

Funding Opportunity PA-17-303 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) issued by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) invites eligible United States small business concerns (SBCs) to submit Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant applications. United States SBCs that have the research capabilities and technological expertise to contribute to the R and D mission(s) of the NIH awarding components identified in this FOA are encouraged to submit STTR grant applications in response to identified topics (see PHS 2017-2 SBIR/STTR Program Descriptions and Research Topics for NIH.

Funding Opportunity PA-17-302 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), issued by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), invites eligible United States small business concerns (SBCs) to submit Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant applications. United States SBCs that have the research capabilities and technological expertise to contribute to the R and D mission(s) of the NIH, CDC, and FDA awarding components identified in this FOA are encouraged to submit SBIR grant applications in response to identified topics (see PHS 2017-2 SBIR/STTR Program Descriptions and Research Topics for NIH, CDC, and FDA.

Funding Opportunity PAR-17-300 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages small business applications for exploratory clinical trials of investigational agents (drugs, biologics, surgical therapies or devices) that may contribute to the justification for and provide the data required for designing clinical studies. Diseases chosen for study should be based on the NINDS' strategic plan and clinical research interests (www.ninds.nih.gov/funding/areas/index.htm ).
Monday, June 5, 2017 - 6:09am
Funding Opportunity PAR-17-301 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The Office of Research Infrastructure Programs (ORIP) within the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives announces a program that provides ORIP-supported Special Emphasis Research Career Award (SERCA) K01 awardees who have completed the first two years (24 months) of their K01 award the opportunity to apply for Small Grant support. Through the use of this mechanism, ORIP is seeking to enhance the capability of ORIP SERCA K01 awardees to conduct research as they complete their transition to fully independent investigator status. The R03 mechanism supports different types of projects, including but not limited to pilot and feasibility studies; secondary analysis of existing data; small, self-contained research projects; development of research methodology, and development of new research technology. The R03 is therefore intended to support research projects that can be achieved in a short period of time with limited resources and that provide preliminary data to support a subsequent R01 or equivalent application.
