Funding Opportunity RFA-ES-18-010 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The NIEHS and partnering Institutes and Centers are establishing an infrastructure, the Human Health Exposure Analysis Resource (HHEAR) as a continuation of the Children's Health Exposure Analysis Resource (CHEAR). The goal of this consortium is to provide the research community access to laboratory and statistical analyses to add or expand the inclusion of environmental exposures in their research and to make that data publicly available as a means to improve our knowledge of the comprehensive effects of environmental exposures on human health throughout the life course. This FOA solicits the HHEAR Coordinating Center (U24) that will serve as the administrative hub and external access point for HHEAR, managing and tracking the flow of projects, materials, and analyses between HHEAR units and participating investigators. In addition, the coordinating center will support administrative functions such as convening HHEAR Steering and Executive Committee meetings, and organizing education, outreach, and publicity activities.

The NIEHS and partnering Institutes and Centers are establishing an infrastructure, the Human Health Exposure Analysis Resource (HHEAR) as a continuation of the Children's Health Exposure Analysis Resource (CHEAR). The goal of this consortium is to provide the research community access to laboratory and statistical analyses to add or expand the inclusion of environmental exposures in their research and to make that data publicly available as a means to improve our knowledge of the comprehensive effects of environmental exposures on human health throughout the life course. This FOA solicits Laboratories (Lab Hubs) that can provide comprehensive measurement of the exposome using untargeted approaches (such as metabolomics using libraries enriched for environmental exposure biomarkers) for biological samples derived from extant or ongoing human health studies in the NIH extramural research community. Each Hub will incorporate an administrative core and a developmental core to improve the ability of untargeted platform to detect a wide range of environmental exposures and endogenous changes in response to environmental influences in a variety of biological matrices.

The NIEHS is establishing an infrastructure, the Human Health Exposure Analysis Resource (HHEAR) as a continuation of the Children's Health Exposure Analysis Resource (CHEAR). The goal of this consortium is to provide the research community access to laboratory and statistical analyses to add or expand the inclusion of environmental exposures in their research and to make that data publicly available as a means to improve our knowledge of the comprehensive effects of environmental exposures on human health throughout the life course. This FOA solicits Laboratories (Lab Hubs) providing a comprehensive suite of analysis of environmental exposures in samples such as dust, soil, and drinking water related to the immediate environment of individuals and linked to health endpoints. Each Hub will incorporate a developmental core to develop novel measures for environmental samples, expanding the number of current, commonly measured analytes, and developing new methods for detecting analytes in other environmental samples and providing additional insight into the sources of exposures that influence human health. The Environmental Monitoring Lab will also serve as a 'clearinghouse for evaluation and provision of emerging tools and technologies for personal exposure assessment to the client community.

The NIEHS and partnering Institutes and Centers are establishing an infrastructure, the Human Health Exposure Analysis Resource (HHEAR) as a continuation of the Children's Health Exposure Analysis Resource (CHEAR). The goal of this consortium is to provide the research community access to laboratory and statistical analyses to add or expand the inclusion of environmental exposures in their research and to make that data publicly available as a means to improve our knowledge of the comprehensive effects of environmental exposures on human health throughout the life course. This FOA solicits the Data Center. The Data Center will provide intellectual and logistical support for the maintenance, integration, analysis, interpretation, curation, and reuse of data generated by HHEAR in support of extramural research projects. The Data Center will build and manage an exposure data repository and associated data science resources, including a public access Data Portal, a Data Submission and Review Portal, and an ontology and associated standardized data structure. In addition, the Data Center will provide statistical, analytical, and informatic support for HHEAR components and studies using the HHEAR infrastructure. The ultimate goal is maximizing potential use and impact of exposure data in human health studies.

Funding Opportunity RFA-ES-18-009 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to solicit grant applications that propose to: (1) support the maintenance of existing Environmental Epidemiology Cohorts (EECs) and to (2) enrich research infrastructure to improve scientific activities and resource sharing with the broader scientific communities. The ultimate goal is to maintain and maximize NIEHS cohort investments within the environmental epidemiology community by supporting the infrastructure needed to prepare for future research opportunities and to promote broader scientific collaborations.

Funding Opportunity RFA-DK-18-503 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this Limited Competition is to extend the Cure Glomerulonephropathy (CureGN) Network by continuing to support the Participating Clinical Centers (PCCs). The CureGN Network is a multicenter observational cohort study of glomerular disease patients with the goal of improving care for all glomerular disease patients. The operational components of the study include four multi-site PCCs and a Data Coordinating Center (DCC). The CureGN Network, established in 2013, has recruited nearly 2,200 of 2,400 planned study participants and followed them with annual in-person clinic visits and interim telephone contacts. The CureGN PCCs will continue to follow-up previously enrolled participants. The PCCs will optimize retention strategies, developing novel methods for "remote" or "virtual" study participation; ensure complete and accurate data collection with a focus on clinical assessment of disease activity and outcomes; and participate in the development and validation of study-wide semi-quantitative assessment of histopathologic lesions. It is expected that a focus on disease features unique to glomerulonephropathy, and outcomes relevant to the full range of patient experience, combined with carefully curated clinical and biochemical data will uncover new predictors of the disease course, pathophysiologic processes, disease subtypes and novel treatment targets.The DCC provides key leadership functions for this study in the areas of study organization, study design and implementation, overall management, data management and analysis, and biosample management. The DCC requirements are described under a separate FOA.
