This DCC has been involved in study design and data and bio sample acquisition and management since the inception of the TEDDY Consortium.This FOA provides support for the TEDDY DCC to continue to follow TEDDY children and allows funding for collaborators to conduct studies on integration of various omics data and the measurement and analysis of viral antibodies using samples from TEDDY subjects.

The purpose of the NINDS Institutional Translational Research Training Program is to equip trainees with the knowledge and skills needed to advance basic research toward clinical application. These programs will support, students and/or postdocs conducting basic, disease-relevant research in an environment that includes 1) basic neuroscientists and clinicians who are actively engaged in collaborative research projects, 2) neuroscience researchers with expertise in translational processes who are conducting research designed to move basic discoveries toward clinical application and 3) relationships with industry and government regulatory agencies. Programs will have a cohesive educational approach to translational training in areas relevant to the NINDS mission, and in which students and postdocs learn the processes involved in translational research in the context of their individual projects. Programs supported by this FOA must include activities that ensure a thorough understanding of experimental design, strong statistical and analytical skills, and skills for communicating science with a wide variety of audiences. These programs are intended to be 2 years in duration and support training of one or more of the following groups: advanced predoctoral students, postdoctoral fellows and fellowship-stage clinicians. Upon completion of the program, trainees will be prepared to address basic research problems with an understanding of the requirements for translating discoveries into viable therapies.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Research and Translation Core Centers. CF Research and Translation Core Centers are designed to support both basic and clinical research on Cystic Fibrosis. CF Research and Translation Core Centers support three primary research-related activities: Research Core services; a Pilot and Feasibility program; and an Administrative Core with an enrichment program. Core Centers provide shared resources to support research to develop and test new therapies for CF and to foster collaborations among institutions with a strong existing research base in CF. The NIDDK currently supports seven CF Research and Translation Centers located at institutions with documented programs of research excellence in basic and clinical CF Research. The purpose of this FOA is to invite applications to promote health equity and improve the health of individuals and populations at risk for suboptimal health outcomes through the use of primary care and community interventions that address chronic conditions, including prevention and management of multiple chronic conditions. This is to be accomplished by developing data resources, applying health services research methodologies and presenting data analytics to primary care providers, health care delivery systems, public health departments, and/or community organizations to help them address social determinants of health (SDOH) and contribute to the delivery of whole person, 360-degree care that meets physical, behavioral, and oral health, as well as social services, needs.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is designed to support administrative supplements to funded NIA behavioral and social science research projects to addresses disparities in aging and health. Supplements can either (a) add a health disparities component to a project that doesnt already have a focus on disparities, or (b) expand the health disparities focus in a health disparities project.
