Funding Opportunity RFA-HD-23-011 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of this FOA is to announce the re-competition of the National Centers for Translational Research in Reproduction and Infertility (NCTRI). The NCTRI will be administered through the Specialized Research Center (P50) award mechanism. These centers will form a national network that facilitates and accelerates bidirectional knowledge transfer between the laboratory and clinic with the ultimate goal of improving human reproductive health through research excellence and innovation.

This R25 program encourages professional societies supporting the NIDDK mission areas to develop educational programs aimed at recruiting talented fellows and junior faculty from diverse backgrounds, including those groups underrepresented in biomedical, behavioral, clinical, and social sciences research. Professional societies should propose an educational program that includes a diversity management plan that would enhance the diversity of the organization's scientific workforce and the pool of individuals from groups historically marginalized andunderrepresented in the organization's programs and leadership.

Funding Opportunity RFA-DK-21-033 from the NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts. The purpose of the Kidney, Urology or Hematology (KUH) Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition Awards (F99/K00) is to recruit exceptional graduate students from diverse research fields to pursue postdoctoral training focused on Kidney, Urology or Hematology (K, U, or H) research. Talented graduate students from disciplines including, but not limited to, engineering, statistics, data science, imaging, biochemistry and genetics are invited to apply to this opportunity. Graduate students who are already involved in K, U, or H research are not eligible for the F99/K00 award and are instead encouraged to apply for the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (Parent F31, PA-19-195). Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the NIDDK Program Official prior to initiating plans for application submission. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) does not allow applicants to propose to lead an independent clinical trial, but does allow applicants to propose research experience in a clinical trial led by a sponsor or co-sponsor.
