Save the Date! The Southern Arizona Biomedical Research Symposia 2016 is coming to UA

Coming this spring – free lecture series for biomedical professionals hosted by UA.

The University of Arizona will be hosting a series of free educational seminars catered to biomedical research professionals interested in expanding their knowledge of research related processes such as grant writing, publishing, compliance, and clinical trial management. The symposia are open to all UA employees, hospital staff and public research partners and will be divided into two “tracks” that accommodate your individual role in biomedical research. CME is available. The lectures will be held in intermittently through April and May and are scheduled as follows:

Track 1: Faculty / Principal Investigator / Researcher

  • April 7: Write Winning NIH Grant Proposals
  • April 14: Collaborating with Biomedical Industry Partners
  • April 21: Clinical Trial Billing Compliance. Budgeting & Contracting
  • May 6: Writing for Biomedical Publication
  • May 10: FDA Compliance and IND Sponsor Obligations
  • May 10: Research Compliance: Presentations and Open Table Forum

Track 2: Clinical Research Administrator

  • April 14: Communicating about Clinical Trials with the Public
  • April 14: Best Practices for Successful Grant Management
  • April 21: Clinical Trial Billing Compliance. Budgeting & Contracting
  • May 10: FDA Compliance & IND Sponsor Obligations
  • May 10: Research Compliance: Presentations and Open Table Forums
